as far as pricing goes what would be a "buy it now!" price for a 60 4x4 front with everything; break pad to break pad on 4.10 gears i can find that for 1000 but really didn't plan on having that much tied up in just parts.

That's too much for a used Dana 60 out of a Dodge Ram. I would not spend more than $250 per diff.

yeah for the rarity of what i want and that i want a complete set i was thinking 1000 for both wouldn't be far off but not for one, but i still have many salvage yards to call and pasture trucks to find so maybe ill get lucky. as long as X keeps running ill keep looking.

In my case up here it's cheaper for me to find/buy a complete beater truck. I have passed up three so far costing from $500-$1000 running and driving but the body is toast. Try that route and see what you find.

[QUOTE=Wh1t3NuKle;3004147] For the front you want 2000 or 2001 b/c the cam bolts changed sizes.

How different would a 98 be?

Alright first off thank you for all your inputs i just have a couple more questions. i found a truck with d60 front rear out of a 98 2500 5.9 gasser. the truck is currently complete minus an engine and front drive shaft. what all would it be beneficial for me to take off to make my swap easier, i'm going at the end of next month to take out the axles just figured if i was there anyway i may as well get everything i may need. OR am i better off finding the 00 01 front due to the cam bolts?
