Wrong.........

+1. The tune from Hemifever will take care of that.

The data link connector is always the diagnostic port.

Was there anything special you had to do to get it run like its supposed to? I'll reset the sync tomorrow, but i'm skeptical if that will do anything. guess we'll see. Compression check is coming as well to double check valve are right.

special?
yes lots!
i have a completely customized engine. actually this is my second one! PITA!
long story short.
actually the solus wasnt working out well for us. mt2500 didnt do too good either. and another i cant remember now! we used ALLDATA services. had to set the signal with a back pin on the cam sensor. read the magna blip at 17.5 on the crank. PERFECT! thats absolute zero on the sync. believe it or not

Well, here is where i stand. yesterday we set the fuel sync back to 0. Only took a few minutes to do. Still no change. Did a compression check and found that cylinder 1 and 2 were low. they were about 65psi compared to 95 psi on the others. After that, did a leak down test to see whats going on. Cylinders 1,2, and 8 showed an 18% leakage, we are thinking it's passing the rings. All the rest of the cylinders are at 5% or less. The engine only has 30 miles on it, so we are thinking after a couple hundred miles, the rings should be seated better and we'll do another compression and leak down check. That being said, my buddy thinks it shouldnt run as bad as it does with those 3 at only 18%. Which is not bad for a motor with say 30k miles, but a new motor should show 5% or less, again, we attribute that to the ring. So now, i'm back to square one. Should have an AF gauge today to check that. If that shows good, then i'm completely out of things to try.

after a little research, what about the cam gear being off one tooth?? Could that cause the low compression?

If the valves aren't seating at the compression stroke it could cause a lower compression

I'm not sure. Easy check would be to spin the crank just off TDC both ways with the leakdown tester hooked up to #1...
