Yours looks pretty scary. I would be tempted to pull the intake and clean the valley as well, and then drop pan and clean out before cranking it over. That crap will clog oil pump almost immediately....

thanks for all the responses guys. I wish I could afford to take the heads off and get them taken care of the right way, funds are just not there right now or anytime in the near future. so, I just cleaned the hell out of it. I rigged up a trans line on the end of the shop vac and shoved it as far as it could go to get everything I could out. its just gonna have to do, for now.

2morrow I will tackle the driver side after I get home from work. I think I will take your advise tho "gd" and rip the intake off, clean what I can then drop the pan last before I crank "big black" over. I want to make sure I get all I can out.

#facepalm, what did I get myself into w/this one... ugh.

got some pics of what all I did today after the family left.will post when they are ready.

Minus the front fender, that actually doesn't look bad.

Any hint of the previous history? Female owned? Anything?

Looks like somebody missed several oil changes...

That sucks.

Is is sludge or carbon build up? It's kinda hard to discern from the pictures...

Its the best of both worlds... mostly goopy sludge.

Oh, wait to you guys see the #8 plug, horrible. #6 wasn't as bad as #8, still bad tho. The #4 and #2 were just white and ashy.

For some reason pics didn't email to myself so I could upload them so I will post them 2morrow. Off to bed, up @4:30am

After cleaning be sure to use STP or SEAFOAM to clear up the deposits before future oil changes. its a good thing you're doing for that Dodge. Good work brother.
