Default Vibration sometimes @ 40-45 mph

I get a vibration sometimes @ 40-45 mph. OD does not make a difference. I have researched the death wobble, but that sounds much more violent than what I'm experiencing. Replaced the tires as they were shot anyway and got an alignment. Still have the issue.

Any thoughts outside of death wobble?

2 or 4 wheel drive?

Feel it more thru the seat, or the steering wheel?

Does your brake pedal pulsate when you step on it?

Check rear u-joints, inspect rear tires, might even rotate them, and see if the vibration moves.

I have the same issue as well. Tires didn't help it, it's not a misfire.

I had done some googling and found posts on here, it's pretty common and not usually an issue.
You COULD have a u-joint going out, but I wouldn't really worry about it until it actually goes. I've been driving my rig this way for 3 years now with zero issue.

+1 on the rear joints. Could also be a bent or not balanced rear shaft. Had the same prob with my 98. The rear driveshaft was bent some and missing a balance weight.

Thanks for the replies guys. The u-joints seem to be fine and no weights are missing on the drive shaft. Hrmmm..... Perhaps kicking it will make it better!

I had the same issue for a while. Balanced the tires, seemed to help a little but not all the way. Come to find out one of my shocks was shot so got new ones and no issues after that.
