What is the deal with the rain? I thought plenum's put out an
Internal vacuum leak. Would it suck water?

Never mind. Ignore that remark ..lol i get what ur saying now.

Iv got a guy that has torn the 318 apart and assembled
It multiple times he's certified. He says he would charge me 400 do to it. Seem like a decent price for that kinda work?

I do my own work, so don't really know about the pricing. You would be best off getting that plenum plate dhvaughan pointed you too so your mech. doesn't just replace the gasket, possibly leading you back to the same problem.

Get a Haynes manual and read the procedure first. Make sure you have the right tools, and read the plenum sticky, there are a lot of tips in it.

Lol... For sure iv got Haynes and chiltons manual for that truck. Cuz i knew eventually something would go wrong i have the worst luck with vehicles

It's really not a bad job..... 400 for a professional shop to do it would be reasonable. (you providing the parts.) The same price for a 'buddy' to do it is a bit high....

Yeah I kinda thought so i figured he would give me
Alil better discount...lol

Does anybody know of some other stuff as far as modifications to improve HP and fuel also?

What's your budget? Figger around 200 in 'stuff' for the plenum fix. (plate gasket coolant etc. nice list in the stickied thread)
