Ok i managed to get a wrench on it.. It actually wasnt hard at all to get off.. it just broke lose without much effort thats good..

Here is a pic of my old one.. BTW why is the sensor all white on the tip ?? Is that normal ?? It doesnt really look dirty to me.. But i put the new one in and reset the computer and i drove around town for like 20-30miles.. and wow.. my gas mileage on the overhead is now showing 13mpg.. prior to this it was barely able to get above 10.5.. I dunno why i had to change the O2 sensor after doing my plenum but it seems so far like it has helped alot.. BTW how tight should I have made the sensor ? Because the booklet says 14-17 ft lbs for one sensor and 23-30 for another sensor.. But i couldnt get a torque wrench in there.. So i made it finger tight then got my wrench on it and tightend it like you would a spark plug.. because im really afraid to strip that since its only like 3 threads.. When i made it snug i tightend a little more and it started to move so that scared me so i tightend it more and it kinda stopped so it probly was just that washer it has on it compressing.. lol but i stopped.. I listend to it while it was running and i dont hear any whistling or see smoke comming out so i think its fine..
BTW the old sensor says NTK Japan on it like the new one does.. Did mopar use NTK sensors ? Or does this mean it was replaced at one time

You see that black on it? That's the oil crap from your blown plenum. It gets into the holes and keeps the sensor from reading properly. And yes, Mopar used NTK, that's why we all say to use it. lol

Yea i did see my pics ? I unplugged the pcm before i plugged the new O2 up, and then plugged the o2 up and battery and ive driven 45 miles so far in the city.. with lots of stop lights and lots of green lights.. My mileage atm is 12.7mpg.. I can easily get it to 13mpg + tho once i drive more.. The mileage is back to where it used to be many years ago.

Basicly when i first bought this Jeep 3 years ago i was getting 13.0 mpg or so EASY.. Then over the 3 years it slowely dropped and before i changed my plenum i was getting around 11.8mpg.. After i changed my plenum it dropped to 10.5mpg i dunno why still why it dropped... But changing the O2 sensor its back to 13mpg..

Could the old O2 sensor have been used to smelling oil and maybe "liked it" lol so after i fixed my plenum and it hasnt burned a drop of oil.. it decided to give me shiat gas mileage. ?

Yes i know but think about it for a second no one is lol.. If the O2 was bad, wouldnt my mileage have been 10mpg before the plenum fix ? Why did it go from 11.8mpg to 10.5mpg AFTER my plenum fix and not before as well ? Then when i change my O2 sensor it goes up to 13mpg.. Its just weird how that happend do you get what im saying ? I mean clearly the O2 was bad if my mileage has gone up.. but why was my mileage still near 12mpg when it was burning oil.. then imediatly after it stops burning oil it drops big time..

Im gonna replace the rear O2 sensor as well, but first I need to buy a new IAC.. my Jeep every day now keep idling 1500 rpm when i stop and park.. Only once a day or so but its every day.. That IAC is gone i guess.. because it used to do this to me in the past but not as often..

i don't think changing the other o2 sensor will do much.

have you tried cleaning the IAC?

In the past i did but obviously its pretty bad now doing this everyday.. Im gonna take it out tomorrow and see if its dirty if it is ill clean it again and see if it stops.. if not i guess its time for a IAC..

Mani've replaced so much on this 5.9 Jeep..

Waterpump
Timing cover gasket and timing chain
Power steering pump
Intake manifold plenum
Viscous coupler in transfercase
Nutral safety switch. twice...
O2 sensor
TPS
Low speed fan sensor
All my cooling lines
Automatic tensioner
Idler pully
3 drive belts (dont ask lol)
Electric fan motor
CV front axle shafts..
Front lower control arms
transmission mount
ignition coil
My 150A alternator died
Sunroof broke right after replacing my alternator its still broken..
rear axle needs new bearings..
A/C leaks slowely..

Can you beleive how much crap I have replaced lol.. and now my IAC is going bad.. I have replaced almost every sensor and major external part on the engine.. I really hope it stops... its getting anoying.. Soon everything will be new...

Fix one thing, something else breaks.... its an unwritten rule. The trick is, to keep fixing things till something you don't really care about breaks, then DON'T fix it. Cycle is broken.

How old is your TPS? May wanna test that as well, it can contribute to strange idle problems.
