I have a 1999 Ram 1500 2wd, 5.2L. Earlier this past week my check engine light came on. I had it checked and the code it is pulling is P1763. It indicates that my Governor pressure sensor input was to high. The truck is still running but it accelerates really slow from a stop. Would replacing the pressure sensor and the solenoid take care of this problem?
I'd drop the pan and see what it looks like in there. And I don't think it has anything to do with "accelerates really slow from a stop" . You most likely have other issues, like the plenum maybe.
That is possible for sure. I have a great 1763 code sheet. Problem is I cant paste it here. Remember that file I sent you a couple years ago? Same one. I see PDF files posted in the FAQ/DIY section. Veeten for instance. How did he do it? LOL
Zman, if I PM you my email address could you possible send me that PDF file for the 1763 code sheet?
OR...Zman, you could upload it to Dropbox and post a link....so everyone can have a copy that wants one. (You can send it to me and I will load in Dropox and post link if you don't want to set one up....)

Thank you the input and advice. I dropped the pan and pulled off the valve body. Replaced the Governor pressure sensor and solenoid. The lockup/O.D. solenoid and wire harness, the 3-4 accumulator spring and speed sensor. Put a new filter in and new pan gasket. Put everything back together and it is running nice and smooth.
