Exclamation Zero Spark

I just put a new motor in my 95 1500 and it's got the 360, got everything buttoned up and went to start it and it just cranks. I checked the coil for spark and its not getting anything and the wires/fuses are all good in the truck. Any idea's about what would be the cause of it?

I'd be checking grounds and the crankshaft position sensor on the backside of the engine.

I'm fairly sure I got all the grounds but I'll check out the sensor. Never would've thought it would prevent spark tho.

It's commonly missed and gets knocked off and broken with trans and engine installs.

I'd go ahead and replace it, that's what happened to mine. But whatever you do, GO TO THE DEALERSHIP. It costs more, but I bought a knock-off from a parts store and the fit was so bad, my flywheel ground the tip off, resulting in the problem again after a few days. Trust me, the thing is hard to replace, you don't wanna do it twice.

I've got another one in the garage from the first motor(the new one is the 3rd) I had. So I'll swap them out and see but I know it's gonna be a pain.

Getting 12 volts to the coil? (with engine not turning, will only have power there for a few seconds.)

No power going to the coil, checked all the fuses and they are all good.
