Recheck fluid level. Engine up to operating temp, trans in neutral. Checking in park gives an artificially high reading.

Getting any codes? (most parts stores will read them for free.)

How long did it go without fluid?

Is there any pattern to it? Drive for certain distance? Get it up to a certain temp?

When it stops working, does shutting off the truck, and restarting immediately make it work right again? For how long?

Default shutting it off

It Last about 10 mins then just comes out of gear,And yes if I shut it off and restart it, it will last another 5 to 10 mins. Also temp matters,If I let it sit to warm and check fuild then it will not go into gear unless I shut it off,The cooler ir gets the better it is.
