Default No Bus, Brake Light

About every couple days sometimes more the cluster will go out and flash "no bus" Replaced the speed sensor and I have verified its not the speed sensor as cruise stays on and maintains speed while the dash does its "no bus" thing, Its starting to get annoying as its not recording my mileage while its doing this. Another issue is that the brake light is on all the time, I have checked the parking brake, Replaced all the brakes all around, Front calipers as well, And it still won't go out, Fluid is at max. I have looked all over the forum with no info to my problems, Thanks in advance,

Its a 1999 Dodge Ram 1500 5.2, 4X4, Auto,

Also forgot to mention, A couple days ago, While accelerating I had the "check engine" light come on and flash at me until I got my foot out of the gas, Any ideas?

CEL flashing is indicating an engine miss. Fixed your plenum yet?

No bus may simply be a bad connection to the cluster. Do any of your gauges quit working when it comes up?

Have not replaced the plenum yet. First the spedo goes. Then the tach. Then the rest go

Open up the pdc box, and tighten the big screw at the top towards the motor down. When it gets tightened down as far it will go it will feel like its stripping but its not, just prevents it from over-tightening. Doing this, and cleaning my grounds up solved the no-bus issue when I got it.

Multiple misfires most likely means cat is clogged or clogging. Fix the plenum before you have a cracked head or 2. The other problem is secondary as far as cost in the long run.

Ok, I'll take a peak at the plug on cyl 8 and look down the intake to see what I see, I'll also tighten that bolt that was suggested. But what about my brake light? Any ideas on it,

Could be related to the cluster fark. (sorry, couldn't resist) When you lose speedo, ABS gets confused.

Also cleaned and replaced a bunch of the grounds, and the connections in the PDC, Time will tell if it fixes that problem, Brake light is still on tho.
