That post has nothing helpful in it. Catalytic converters are required by federal law. Yes there are ways around it... you want to pay the massive fine by all means go ahead and pay it.

Is the 4pin square the same as the GM LS1?

If you have nothing good to contribute to this thread please post elsewhere. Making my thread derail will do nothing but get you banned in a hurry.

Not sure where you are at with this problem, but one thing to consider is when you are mating a Magnum V8 to the trans it is easy to bend the crank position sensor bracket. The sensor needs to sit in a predefined location near the flexplate so it can generate proper pulses.

Ok good, well if the computer is crying about losing signals then I would disco the battery and pull the computer connector, inspect the pins and clean with electrical contact cleaner.

ok, so i got a replacement pre cat o2 sensor, and its still popping through the throttle body at light throttle(only when coldish) i still am going to replace the crank, and cam sensors, as the crank sensor is older, and from my 318, and the cam sensor is unknown as its from the jy 360.
im hoping to get some of this resolved within the next 2 weeks, after i get new tank straps... damn rust!

Have you tried reading live data with your tool and check to make sure the PCM is reading values that are within spec? Things like MAP, TPS, CAM, RPM, sync, advance at idle (biggie), ECT, O2 loop operation, etc.
