Default Factory 16" 5 spoke Aluminum Backspacing

I have the factory 5 spoke aluminum 16" wheels that come on the 2001 4x4 Sport 5.2l. I am looking for specifically the Backspacing on them and I can't seem to find the specs anywhere. I've googled, and used the search engine on multiple forums. I've found the specs on alot of 15"17" and up but not specifically mine.

Basically my goal is to get a little bit wider stance on my truck without any spacers, leveling kit, or lift. I am thinking maybe a small offset wheel, not much though since I do understand it can be hard on the stock bearings. the factory backspacing would give me an idea of where to look/start, or even just what rim I'd like with no off set.

If you have the wheel, you can measure backspacing yourself. Place a straight-edge across the back of the rim with the face of the rim sitting on the ground. Take a tape measure and measure the distance between the bolt area of the wheel to the straight-edge and you will have your backspace measurement.

Also, any thought to changing the stance via the tire size? A taller and wider tire does a nice job in changing the stance a bit, too..

Yea solid advice, I was just hoping to avoid taking my wheel off as its been pretty crapy out lately and I just have the spare tire jack.

I have given some thought to changing tire size but I do know I would like to go with some sort of black rim eventually (prolly steelies since they are much more afordable). I'm guessing if I find a wider rim with the same backspacing that would allow for a wider tire. What would be the max highth I could go without rub? I'm also guessing if I stay with my stock rim I could go from 265/75r 16 up to 275/70r 16?

The 94-99 aluminums have 5" backspacing, I hate to assume when it comes to a vehical but is it safe to assume it's the same?

I'd say 5" is good. It's not an offroad edition right? Cant really see your wheels in your pic.

Correct, not the off road edition. And again great info in that link but there is no info on my specific wheel (2000-2001 1500 2WD/4WD 16" Aluminum Wheels• not posted yet)
I belive that was the first thread I read when I started searching. Here is an ebay link to the same wheel I have. http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/280733187451?lpid=82
Sun just poked out so I'm going to go pull the wheel now just to be sure.
