Cat or no Cat

Cat or no Cat
Sup fellas.
So I'm in the middle of replacing my plenum gasket, and had a question on the cat.
Did a quick search and didn't really pull anything up, but at what point does the cat no longer become usable? It's definitely clogged, and causing performance issues. I have my new o2 sensor, but if the cats no good I'm just going to get rid of it.
Basically, can I be a cheap *** and keep my cat? Or is it permanently clogged?

This isn't the 1970's why do people still think a properly working cat & emission system a bad thing? Get up to date with things and learn that this stuff is bad voodoo junk.
You can get high flow cats so that isn't an issue and there is really no reason not to run a cat. Yes if you live somewhere that doesn't check your emissions you can get away with removing your cat BUT you are still violating federal law. If for some reason you were to be checked and found not to have all the required equipment you could receive a fine.
Now on the other side yes you can run without the cat and there are ways to fool the sensors to think the cat is still there. So yes you can run without it but with the current selection of cats there isn't any reason to.
