Loud grinding noise under load, transfer case maybe?

Replace the chain. While you are in there, see what else is worn beyond usability. Unfortunately, you won't know, until you have it scattered around the bench, and can see what ya got.

yeah it’s got 192xxx I can here the noise when I’m on the gas while coasting a bit I’m sure the noise is there at higher speeds i just can’t hear it as well.
What kind of symptoms does the loose chain give off other than not holding in 4x4

If it's really bad, it'll slap the inside of the case...... Mine is only noisy in 4wd, perfectly quiet in 2wd. If it is growling all the time, need to see what's going on, before it blows up.
