+Edit

33 = 4.10 gears

35 = 4.56 gears

37 = 4.88 gears

Motive gear makes a good 4.10 comes with install kit to and timken bearings and your all set.

Re-gearing can be quite expensive just in labor costs if it's not something you're up to doing. And it's something that has to be done perfectly right the first time.

Keep in mind to use 4wd the front and rear have to match.....

Regearing is pricey as mentioned, but it was one of the better mods on my truck. I went from 3.55s to 4.10s and haven't looked back.

I don't think re-gearing for better gas mileage is really the best plan. Given the cost involved, you would have to drive a LONG time to recover the investment.

This is what has kept me from re-gearing my truck from 3.55 to 4.10 - costs vs. benefits

ive put a k&n air filter and exahust on it and im only running 31's, and im only getting 13-14mpgs on a good day. i try to baby it and keep it under 2000 rpm, but hell it takes a year to get up to 60 mph, so its really no use trying to baby it.

Dang,Those must be some heavy 31's.I have 33's and it feels almost like stock but loses power on the highway and definitely while towing and I have 3.55. Guess it would be worth 4.10 gears saves stress on your tranny and drivetrain. Here are some pretty cost effect Motive Gear 4.10's:
