will a manual tranny from a 79 power wagon with a 360 bolt up to a 2nd gen 360 mag engine

but dont the la and mag motors have the same bell pattern?

You would need a bellhousing from a magnum engine, or, you would have to modify the LA bellhousing to accommodate the crank position sensor.

so it could work just need to fit the cps... what about clutch and fly wheel?

So far as I know, they are exactly the same.... Might wanna verify that first though. Not sure how they balanced the LA 360's.

fly wheels are the same size but there .01 lb off,
clutches weigh diff and tooth count diff ... dose the weight of the fly wheel matter to the engine or to the tranny?

I don't think the weight matters as much as the bolt pattern and if the pilot bearing is the same diameter.

new plan... 12v Cummings... to the 435 pilots the same... what bell and adapter would work
