Question LED feet lights

I am trying to install LED strips to they shine by your feet inside the cab. I am not familiar with the wiring in the truck so I am not sure where to acces a power source close to the place they will be.
Any help or advice would be appreciated.

Do you want it to light up when you turn the ignition on or the headlamps?

Based on what he stated, perhaps the new LED light strips should activate when either truck door is opened?

I have mine wired into my radio an grounded to the steel running under the steering wheel. Works great. It comes on whenever the truck/radio is on. Took 20min tops.

I would love it to work when the doors are opened but if its not possible then any other way will be fine.

Probably need to tap into the wiring that overhead light is wired into, since it comes on when you open the door.

Wiring diagram in the Factory Service Manual in the DIY/FAQ section

I think the door switches ground the circuit.... so, wire the lights to constant power, and run the ground to the door switch. Lites on with door open.

I would say just look for the little switch that spring out when the door is open to turn on the entry lighting and just tie in there.

It's a friction fit. Pushes/pulls right out.
