I have removed a 3 in. body lift that was on my truck and replaced the bolts on the cab and replaced all extended parts. But now that the lift was removed from the bed, the back of the bed sits higher than the front of the bed. It doesn't fit down properly. Am I missing stock mounts for the bed? Any help would be much appreciated
ok thank you. The thing I don't understand is if the bed is raised any the grooves on the side of my truck will not line up with the cab's. I bought new rubber mounts for the cab so I know it's done correctly, or atleast as correct as it can be with me doing it
The body lines should line up...... if they don't, something is awry. Can you see what the bed is hitting on? Miss a spacer or two while you were under there??
Too dark for pics tonight, I'll try to get some up ASAP after work tomorrow. The only thing I can see that the bed is hitting is the gas tank. So a spacer or a mount has to be missing, huh?
Sorry for the late update. Went to the salvage yard and looked at other trucks like mine and turnes out no mounts for the bed. When I got off I realized the back bumper had been raised and the body was sitting on the brackets that raised it. It was too dark last night to see. Dropped it, lined it up and bolted down the bed so everything is done. Thanks again for the help
