Default How much battery draw is normal when off

I haven't been driving my truck much lately and when I tried to start it after sitting 5 or 6 days the battery was completely dead. The battery is only 1.5 years old but I took it to the parts store and had it tested. Came back good. I checked for how many amps were being drawn with everything turned off and the multimeter is showing about 0.5 amps. I pulled every fuse and relay with no change. Is it normal for the truck to draw that amount of current? It has been cold (relatively) here in FL- lower 30's to upper 20's at night and I'm sure that's not helping. Anything else I could check?

A normal vehicle electrical system will draw from five
to thirty-five milliamperes (0.005 to 0.035 ampere)
with the ignition switch in the Off position, and all
non-ignition controlled circuits in proper working
order.

That from the 01 service manual. Yours is WAY too high. Check and make sure that the underhood light, the glove box light, etc, actually turn off at the right times. One little bulb will suck your battery dead over the course of a couple days.

Crap. Yep I've pulled every fuse and relay out from under the hood and every fuse from the driver side panel with no change in draw. I removed the light from the glove box years ago because it wouldn't shut off and took the bulb out from under the hood. I called the local dealer to ask if .5 amp draw was too much and they said it was fine lol. Seemed a bit high to me. The interior lights draw 2 amps according to my meter.

Did you pull the IOD fuse as well? Its in the fuse block on the side of the dash, has a little cover over it.

You got me lol. I forgot to pull the IOD fuse. Will try that shortly. Also forgot to mention that the amp draw dropped to almost nothing when I pulled the 50 amp battery fuse

Yep it's the IOD fuse. With it out it pulls .002 amps. Now to try and track that down...

It's the plugs under the seats. Anybody know what they do? Can I just leave them unplugged? I don't have power seats.

Heated seats? Might be for the seat belt locks to.... aside from that, I have no clue what they would be for. See if you can pull your seat belts out, and if the little lite goes off.....

I wish I had heated seats! I unplugged them and now the seatbelt light on the dash is on for the first time. You're right about the seatbelts. They won't pull out if the plug isn't in.

See which seat causes the draw, my guess is, one of the switches went bad.
