What tranny will work..

Default What tranny will work..

I have a 01 Dodge ram.. 318. 5Spd. 4Wheel drive.. nv3500 Tranny in it.. my tranny is bad and I've been trying to find one.. I've found some in dodge dakotas. If a dakota has the nv3500 Will it bolt up and work with my ram.. please let me know... thank you

Should be the same trans. Just make sure you get one out of a 4x4, 2wd version will require a LOT more work.

Even if it's it out the 3.9 or anything.. as long as its the nv3500 it should bolt up to my 318 ram

If the bellhousing isn't part of the trans case, it should work. I *think* the 3.9 has the same bolt pattern though, so, it may not matter.

It will bolt up, maybe look for a nv4500 over the 3500 much better taanny.

So any nv3500 Will bolt up out of a Dodge.. and if I can find the nv4500 it will bolt and work just as good.. and what would I find them in

3/4 and 1 ton trucks. Has to be a V-8 though, as the diesels, and V-10 transmissions were different.
