You aren't going to get the lopey idle with a cam designed for low-end. Lope comes from huge duration cams, that don't develop a lot of vacuum at idle..... low-end cams will give ya good vacuum.
Look for like an RV/Towing cam. Stock springs, max lift is .480 inch. If you go more than that, you will need bigger springs. Keep in mind, most cams state lift numbers with stock rocker ratios. If you go to a higher ratio rocker, need to keep that in mind when looking at your valve springs.
You are looking for a cam that has it's power range in the idle-800 or so, to 4500-5000 RPM. Will be a nice power boost, but, may also require custom tuning.

Thanks! Big helps! Here's my plans
HEADS
-big springs
-port polish
-rocker arms
MOTOR
-cam
-modified kegger(may upgrade later on)
-sct tune. AFTER all the parts are bought.
-maybe KB pistons
-get the block+crank cleaned.
-high volume oil pump
That's basically it. But are valve springs like universal? Dumb question but I wanna now ha thanks
