You are looking for the minimum installed height.

You could go with these two part numbers and have adjustable rr's for about the same price. But you would need taller valve covers or remove the baffle from the stock steel ones.

Crane Rocker Arm Guideplate Conversion Kits 36655-16 $135

Crane Energizer Roller Rocker Arms 11746-16 $240

You aren't going to get the lopey idle with a cam designed for low-end. Lope comes from huge duration cams, that don't develop a lot of vacuum at idle..... low-end cams will give ya good vacuum.

Look for like an RV/Towing cam. Stock springs, max lift is .480 inch. If you go more than that, you will need bigger springs. Keep in mind, most cams state lift numbers with stock rocker ratios. If you go to a higher ratio rocker, need to keep that in mind when looking at your valve springs.

You are looking for a cam that has it's power range in the idle-800 or so, to 4500-5000 RPM. Will be a nice power boost, but, may also require custom tuning.

When you pick out your cam, they will generally have recommendations for valve springs to match it. Get the ones they recommend. (chatting with someone on the phone to purchase your cam, is a REALLY good idea. Then, post the results here, and get OUR opinion on it. )

Should do the mechanical work first, then you won't be as concerned about screwing up the nice, new, paint job.

I always hated it when folks would bring cars into the shop for major driveline work, and open with the statement: "I just paid X thousands of dollars to have it painted.".....

Ha yeah bad thing is though b4 I made plans to build the motor I already started on body work.... So it's kinda mix matched right now.

I can across a question. It say our studs for the rockers are 3/8. And like above the 1.7 rockers are 5/16. How does that work? Thanks!

It's a stepped stud, one size on each end.
