Gonna work on my transmission first, then I'll look into the rear axle, is there any way to upgrade the 9 1/4? Other than 4:10s?

You could get an add a leaf, or air bags, or even a set of Timbrens. I have had great success with those.

4.10 gears would actually help your trans. Get heavy loads moving easier. Less strain on the auto.

I recently got 4.10s when i did my 60 swap and now i think every Ram should have came with them from the factory.

I think I should just start Savin for a d60 swap, instead of fooling around with this axle, when I changed my Diff fluid I noticed a few small chips out of the ring gear. What are timbrens? I'm not familiar with them?

Overload springs. Sorta. Basically rubber bumpers, go between axle and frame.

Yep they replace the bump stops.

Helwig super springs is another optional bolt on. Putting them on my truck, hopefully next week. I looked at the timbrens and air bags. Will let you know how they work.

I have looked at those also, but I'm leaning toward add a leafs, how many leafs do your springs have?

Four, counting the short thicker one over the axle. I had another truck almost identical to this one and PO had added 2 extra leafs in the spring pack on each side for a total of six. It was really stiff empty, but I totaled it before setting it up for work. This was another option, getting extra leaf springs custom made by a welding shop, but then they would be in there permanent. The helwigs are supposed to be adjustable to some degree.

Do they add any lift? I'm trying to get some of my rake back
So I can sit level when I'm hauling wood
