Angry Fuel leak

Hi guys, need some help here. I had a pretty bad leak at the quick connect/fuel pressure regulator. I replaced the nylon section and put a new quick connect on there. Still leaking. It's dripping out the front of the quick connect, which is snapped on tight. I guess I don't know what else to try besides a new FPR, but $115 for guess work is not what I feel comfortable with. Any ideas or anyone else ever have this problem?

Make sure you have the right size quick connect. I think some trucks used 5/16" and some used 3/8". Also make sure the connector has the gasket in it and its seating right. The regulator could be damaged too. Fuel leaks aren't fun.

Yeah they suck. It's the right size, 3/8. Dealer gave me the part #. I was wondering if I have some hairline crack in the regulator where it plugs in. I am just apprehensive when it comes to spending over $100 to guess. The only thing I know is that it has to be the connector or the regulator.

Also, I assume the connectors have all the seals already in them, correct? I can see a yellow o ring in it.

Take it back apart, inspect the nipple on the regulator, make sure is isn't damaged. Also check the o-rings in the connector. If you nick one, it will leak.

If the regulator is bad it might not be a bad idea to just buy a whole new pump.

I was hoping I could avoid that but you're right. We'll see
