I did a quick look down just the tb the other day but couldn't look in the back, down the tb I could definitely see some oil film, not a bunch, but a light coat, so I sadly think it may be, but I just don't have money nor skill to tackle the task or have a mechanic fix it, I've already sank about 2000$ into it, and just keep finding more issues, I'm just about to let sleeping dogs lie and leave it alone, and just drive and watch the oil, the cars becoming to much of a money pit for the income I bring in.

I'll just keep eyes on what I need to and if the plenum is blown or there are other underlying issues, let them happen if the truck craps out, it craps out.

And that's why I'm going to throw in the towel lol, if it last another 70k miles with just regular maintenance I'll be happy, if not oh well, money wasted lol.

Perhaps you should sell it now, while you can still recover some of your investment, instead of waiting for something major, you don't want to fix to break. Replace it with something that doesn't beat up the wallet so hard at the gas station.

You could stick a magnet down the throttle body to the plate to see if it sticks. If it sticks needs replacing if it doesn't its been fixed.
