Default Starter maybe?

I have a 1995 Dodge Ram 1500 and I drove it 100 miles Sunday, parked it and tried to start it yesterday and it would not turn over. I thought it might be the battery so I replaced it. Still won't start and I can hear a single click. Any ideas??? I want to knock out all other ideas before I go straight to the starter.

Any help is appreciated.

Thank you!!!

Rap on the starter/solenoid a couple times with a hammer. (not hard, just to get its attention) See if it will start.

Welcome to DF!

Bad connections. Check every ground. Re do them all anyway.
Check for cracked posts or loose battery terminals.
Have a multimeter? Should have 12.5ish volts on the top post of the starter at all times. Wire is always hot.

One on the back of each head.

Fat cable from battery goes to block somewhere.....

Two right up by the power steering pump.

One up on top the bracket for the alternator.

One on the body right beside the battery. One on the frame under the battery (roughly)
One on the engine block above the water pump metal pipe thing.

Ok! I have a green wire that looks like it used to be connected to something. It is around the battery. Could it possibley be a ground?

Grounds are usually black. Does it look like it is a part of the factory harness? Or, maybe did someone add it later?

I looked at mine, and the only green wire I see around the battery is one that goes to the + side of the power distribution center where the batt. cable connects.

We'll I replace the turn signal light. Shut the hood and it started right up. Killed it, started it again all fine. Killed it again. This time I'm gonna start it and take it the auto part store and nothing. Who knows!!
