Yep, yep. But i do have another question. Since I tested the wire/connector that plugs into the TPS,(instead of the sensor it self) does that mean that the wire/connector is bad and not the actual sensor? Because i was pricing them and napa has the TPS for 30 and the connector/wires for 22. Just trying to figure out what needs fixed. Since i know the connector aint putting out enough juice, its kinda pointless to test it while its plugged in by moving the throttle back and forth aint it?
the tps voltage will increase/decrease with throttle movement. so i its putting out like 1 volt, its more than likely either just barely open, or thats the reading for completely closed.
If you are only getting 1 volt on the powered wire (that should be 5....) have a look at the connector at the PCM, and see if it isn't getting corroded.
In your previous post you said the exhaust system is shot, so why don`t you have that repaired first ?, im sure it would make a huge difference in how your truck runs ?.
Just noticed I never followed up with yall, never did figure it out. Ended up selling it for a grand. Took that plus 500 for another one with a bigger bed, 4yrs younger and 40thousend less mi!
