Default 2001 Trans not going into any gear

Have a 2001 dually with 5.9L 24 valve and a 47re trans with suncoast valvebody. Trans internittently will not engage into any gear. Have drained fluid and removed filter, do not see any obvious problems. When it does go into gear it upshifts and downshifts fine. Only after moving the shifter does it act up and then only sometimes. Does not matter if it is cold or hot. Any help.....

How many miles on the truck? Is the linkage in good shape?

Requested this to be moved to second gen ram tech.

You prob have a clogged filter which is not something you are able to see.

Default 01 shifting problems

The truck has 92K and the linkage is relatively new since this truck was converted from a manual to an automatic and had a Lokar brand floor shifter

Default 01 shifting problems

I would think if the filter was bad it would not be an intermittent problem?

If you can make it happen by moving the shifter, Then I would start looking at the linkage or bushings.

Default Trans shifting Problem

I have changed the fluid and filter and now the trans will not engage at all. Usually if I allowed this to sit and try again sometime later it would engage, but now nothing. This is connected to a PCS controller and I cannot seem to find a wiring issue.
