Usually if the oil pressure sender is going out, the oil pressure gauge will drop to zero momentarily and then hop back up to normal...I would think there would be much more drastic and unexpected fluctuations in the gauge reading if the sender was going out. For what it's worth....when my truck is at running temp and at idle, my gauge reads around 30-35 psi...under acceleration or steady cruise at around 1500-1800 rpm, it goes up to around 60 psi. I'm told that it's perfectly normal behavior and even a good sign of a healthy engine...I'm at 94k miles and running like brand new

I noticed while driving my transmission reached 2K rpm before shifting. Today I had to drive to the other town in my truck. It was doing 65mph the whole way and halfway during my trip the OD turned itself off and the transmission was burning up. On the way back the same thing happened, OD turned off im assuming to cool the tranny and it stayed at 3k rpm for the rest of my trip. I also sped up to 80mph and I was able to reach 5k rpm on my transmission so im really assuming thats not normal.lol

Still have the check valve in the cooler line that goes to the lower fitting on the radiator? If you do, get rid of it. Your trans is overheating, and that will smoke it right quick. I would get rid of that check valve, and do a fluid/filter change SOON.

In a matter of fact the whole radiator was recently replaced like 2 days ago and still sues those fittings, Ill definitely go replace those. Also tranny oil wasnt added after the radiator change. All of these problems started happening after the radiator change im hoping this will fix it. Also does the engine oil use the radiator to? Seems engine oil is coming from one the check valve hoses.

If I remember right you have the original cat and never fixed the plenum. Have you removed the front o2 sensor I'm willing to bet your cat is clogged my truck did the same thing when mine clogged. If you live in a place without inspections you can bang all the honeycomb out and rock it if you need a cat make sure to replace plenum before replacing the cat otherwise you'll be replacing it a third time.

No oil cooler on these trucks. At least, not stock..... if the fluid comes out of those fittings looking like engine oil, you REALLY need to take a look at the fluid in your trans.

May have a front crank seal leak. Verified tran fluid level, in neutral? I lost maybe 1/3 of a quart when i replaced my radiator, if that.
Oil pressure gauge dropping to zero at idle, then bouncing back up to 40 mark or less with some throttle is probably sludged up pick up screen and good time for oil pump. Your oil pressure gauge sounds normal.

ok I pulled the front o2 sensor and the truck ran really rough after that and sounded really raspy. At some stops the truck almost wanted to cuttoff. After a few minutes of driving the truck feels a tiny bit better but not sure because of the hole in the Converter where the sensor was suppose to go. After the test drive I got back home and looked under the truck and there was some smoke smelled almost like sulfur coming out from underneath the converter. It also could have been steam though. Maybe I should try replacing the catalytic converter?

I would be more tempted to take it to an exhaust shop, and have them pressure test it. Much better indicator..... removing the sensor is just a 'rough' test....

Ok ill have a shop do a pressure test, this is what my o2 sensor looks like. Also after I took out the sensor my rpms lowered back to 1.5k before shifting
