Default Door speakers
98 1500 5.2l ext cab . I blew out my drivers side front door speaker so I'm looking to do two
New door speakers in the front doors , what size speakers are they and will I run into any problems ? Thanks

They're 6x9 and you may run into a problem with the amp mounted on the factory speakers

I had a problem with depth putting in some Pioneer's. Sorry can't recall the fix, was back in 2004. Well my fix was to have BestBuy do it.

There was a guy on YouTube that showed how to avoid the door amp issues for the wiring. I can't remember what it was.

A search of these forum will get you a couple of examples of door speaker change out, getting rid of the amp.

Yeah I saw something about the door amp there should be a way around it anyone have an idea on how to though ?

Shouldn't. The problem only arises because wiith the infinity system the two door speakers have there own individual amp.
