Default t-case saver

I've seen some vids on this Gilly's transfer case saver reason is the C-clip on the output shaft breaks this is a two piece sleeve that bolts in place of the C-clip
Has anybody had any problems with this I get a bad clunk going in reverse just a thought the shaft is moving in and out don't want to break anything in my transfer case any help Thanks

It's a good idea, as the factory design wasn't the brightest.... Several members have installed them without issue. Several members have blown up transfer cases, and WISHED they had installed one. It's a good mod. Cheap insurance.

Yes definitely get one, mine was snapped and I believe caused me to have worn parts in my case that I replaced.

Installation is real easy, take out the drive shaft, take out 4 bolts on tail shaft and pull it off. Then put the tcase saver on(use loctite) you may have to move the output shaft a bit to get it lined up. Use some rtv to put the tailshaft back on throw in the driveshaft and viola! haha

I ordered one off E-bay. the seller was having a sale, so with shipping it came to $47 and change. It should be here middle of next week.

With 200,000 miles on the truck, I'm figuring it'll be good insurance. I'll also probably replace the driveshaft U-joints while I've got it off.
