Default Tune up issue

Hey guys I changed my spark plugs, wires, distributor cap, and rotor today along with cleaning my tb and IAC. After everything the trucks exhaust is sputtering/popping when accelerating. What could be the issue and how do I resolve this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Recheck your firing order.

Route your plug wires correctly? If not, you might be getting crossfire. Check the FSM, it shows the correct way that it has to be done.

I'm fairly positive I wired them correctly, but ill check again in the am. Could it possibly be from using the wrong wire length in a certain spot?

Wire length doesn't matter, unless it is too short, and won't reach, or causes it to be up against something hot... and it gets burnt.

No. Make sure all the wires are pressed down tightly also. Did you use dielectric grease in the boots?

Does anyone happen to have the diagram to which wire runs where? I wrote them down and got the same as this video
. Also is there a certain way to put in the distributor cap or can it go in either way.

There are factory service manuals in the FAQ's section free for download that will tell you firing order.

I unplugged all wires from the cap and replugged them in the order it states on the plenum and she's running like normal again. Thanks for the help guys. Not sure whether it was just a bad connection or routed wrong but it only took 10 minutes to fix compared to the 4 hours I spent working on it yesterday.

You aren't the first to encounter that particular little issue. Not like they are easy to get to back there..... I had the same problem when I did my plenum. Got to wires switched. I did the same fix you did. Just redid them all, and all was good.
