My friend just did that. But he swapped in a 727.
Great deal for me.
I gave him an LA 360/727/208 and he gave me a Magnum 318/46re/241.My opinion is your going backwards. But I believe they bolt up.
Dad just put a 360 Magnum in a 66 Coronet with a A518.
Ok perfect thanks and yeah I'm doing it for the purpose that I need all fuel lines, fuel tank, fuel pump, o2 sensors, knock sensor, and cam position sensor, it's just cheaper to go carb 318, it's gonna be a mud truck eventually anyways. Thanks again!
Ya. I used to love my LA's until I bought my first Magnum.
But I still have a beauty 360 LA wrapped up on a pallet.
Four barrel, .030 over. Factory rebuild I pulled from an ambulance I drove when they retired it.
The only problem with slapping a carb on the magnum is the cost, the trucks not worth dumping thousands into I'd rather put a few hundred and move on down the road, seeing as it'll be a mud truck it dont matter.
