Just curious, what all would be involved with this project. I'm swapping out a 1998 5.9 12v with a 1999 5.9 24v from bus. Give me some advice and pointers if you guys dont mind.... PCM, Pump, harness???? What all is universal and what all will i have to swap or replace to be a successful build?? Thanks guys!!
Yea i fiqured those two are a must swap.... but not sure what else!! Ohwell, im just going to jump in the deep end and see if i can swim lmao..... Keep the advice coming guys!!
There are a few regular diesel owners here, Jigabop is the only one who's username I can remember, they are probably your best bet for advice on that swap
Sounds like you need to read Horatio's response (my 12 valve was 2wd, no cruise and no AC). You must have SLT model 4wd. Please read on the diesel side. K.
Edit: Stewie01 & Comfortablynumb, he has asked this same question on the diesel board, to which a gentleman named Horatio
responded in regards to the 99 24v vac system. K.

I only see him post in the diesel section...and he did reply in there as did I...
my answer: why swap?! both motors can easily be built up which is what the op wants to do...so why go through the work of swapping the motors around when it is unnecessary?!

Not everyone knows that with a diesel all you need is a screw driver and $100 to get huge numbers
