Default Bad Shifting

My truck is a diesel and my shifting is very bad between 45mph - 50mph. All of my fluids are great and change and new. It will shift high then low then just go back and forth. What's wrong?

do the diesels have a lock-up converter? Lock-up normally would occur between 45 and 50, could be not going into lock-up, or not holding? Do you have any codes?

Wouldn't the TPS be basically the same if it were gas/diesel?

It does the same job, so, I am going to guess that it could also cause the same problems.
