Default Change transmission on 1500 Ram 95

Im trying to help a friend to change a transmission on a 1500 Ram from 95 it's a 2wd.
He bougth the truck without transmission, but the previous owner had bought a transmission but not fitted it yet and my friend got that transmission as well. He sad the transmission came from a Van.
The transmission has the following numer on it. PK51191612324818
Will that transmission work on this truck?
The electrical connectors are different on the truck and the transmission, does anyone have pinout for the connectors between the truck and transmission? I have tried to serch around but can't really find the rigth one.
Or were can I find the wiring diagrams for the truck?

What are the difference's between the electrical connectors? Picture's would help.
Are there 2 pin 3 pin or 8 pin connectors, not referring to the neutral safety switch.

Thanks, I found the FSM for the truck. So now I know the pinout on the connectors on the truck side.
Just to figure out the pins on the transmission left...
I will get pictures next time I come to his workshop.

There is no way to translate the number I have on the transmission to what vehicle it's coming from or what year its from? Or do I have to contact Dodge for that?

What engine is in your friend's truck? If its a 5.2 or 5.9, you will need a 46rh transmission.

It is a 5.2, 318 engine. Is there any way to tell from the transmission number I got (PK51191612324818) if it's a 46rh transmission?

On the drivers side, about halfway back, is a connector. Goes straight down into the valve body. If that is a three wire connector, its an RH, if its an 8 wire connector, its an RE, and simply will not work in that truck.

Now I have been at the workshop and looked at the truck. When my friend got all the paperwork home for the truck it turned out to be a year 96 truck and not a 95. And when I look at the connectors on the truck I have the following:
8 pin
3 pin
3 pin
2 pin

The gearbox only has the following:
3 pin
3 pin
3 pin

So I guess the truck needs a 46RE transmission and the transmission that he got with the truck is a 46RH? There is no way to get that transmission to work on this truck? I guess he has to look for another transmission?
Have attached pictures from the connectors on the truck.

Backwards. 46RH (hydraulic) is for 95 and older, 46RE (electronic) if for 96 and newer. And no, you cannot make that trans work in his truck. Not without updating the entire wiring harness, and PCM. (granted, it is pretty much plug and play to do so though....)

Will a transmission from a Dodge Dakota sport V8 magnum 5.2 automatic from 1997 Fit on my friends truck? Is it the same 46RE transmission in the Dakota as in my friends RAM from 96?
