You can plumb a big motor into a Vega, but its still a Vega, the car that rusted on the showroom floor.

 

as far as the 302 goes... good luck hitting 13's and with a sho motor you'll only be slower. If you wana build a fast truck you need something w/ torque. I have been in a regcab ranger w/ a 302 before mildly modified out of a mustang. I can tell you my 00dakR/T would make it look stupid and mine only runs 13's.... i know this is a ram post but just for the money ive had mine up to 130 but then the computer shuts her down.
