I have a couple of questions.
I`ve had my truck for two years now, and believe it or not, today was the first time I tried to put it in 4wd. I was sitting in my drive way while doing it not moving and I could only get it to go into 2high, it wouldn`t go into 4high or 4low. So, do you have to be moving to shift in to 4wd ?. My truck has a 231HD transfer case.
My truck is a 2000 Dodge Ram Laramie, I have a build sheet for it, but what do I look for on the build sheet to tell me if it has keyless entry ?. I was told that it being a Laramie that it does have keyless entry. When I got the truck it came with two regular keys, so I would have to order a new key from the dealer and have it programed to the truck.
Thanks.

Yep it's pretty hard for the vacuum operated CAD to engage 4x4 sitting still. Just rolling it should slid in relatively easy.
4lo you gotta put it I'm neutral. But also helps to be rolling as well.

Brief from the owners manual: you can between 2hi and 4hi moving or stopped, shifts can be made up to 55mph. release the accelerator for easier shifts. apply constant force while shifting the transfer case lever. move vehicle slightly forward or backward to complete positive engagement of the gears. Now for 4hi to 4lo or 4lo to 4hi, with the vehicle rolling at 2 to 3mph put the transmission in N while vehicle is coasting shift the transfer lever firmly to 4lo and do not pause in transfer case N. Hope this helps
For the keyless the build sheet will tell you, should be listed as "GXM Remote Keyless Entry"

I just went through the build sheet again, and there is no GXM Remote Keyless Entry listed on the build sheet. That kind of sucks, because its a feature I like to have on my vehicles.
