This seems like a good idea, and I will probably do it...but...there has gotta be something wrong to be causing my issues...something bent? something out of line? And I feel like just adding more muscle to it wont actually be a solution, and maybe a long term downfall. I'm trying to retrace back my build on the truck, and I could have sworn it had this issue when I bought it, and before the lift, but maybe it did happen after the lift. Its a 5in RCX lift. No body lift involved with this truck. Maybe axel is far forward, or far back, or not centered? Idk

But you don't have any binding in the linkage with it up in the air? Didn't this problem initially start, (this time around...) when you replaced the pump?

Yes it did on pump remova and Install. There is zero binding in air. What if when the axel gets loaded the springs don't perch right and put stresses on it? That's pretty far out there I'm just trying to think of everything

You replaced the steering box too, didn't ya? I think its just a hydraulic problem. Because with just a bit more RPM, things work fine. Increasing line pressure a bit, should solve your problem.

Finally got some buddy's to do some troubleshooting with me. This is whys going on: as the wheel is turned, it spins shaft, then goes to pump, then pump spins pitman arm....now is when it begins. The pitman arm moves per say the link attached to it, but really what happens is it shifts literally the whole truck from the frame up like its trying to spin that and it doesn't translate into turning the wheels. Pitman arm angle wrong? Rough country send me the wrong one? It can't be that the ball joints are bad or that tie rod ends are bad cause I would hear it, feel it, and when up in the air I don't think it would turn as pretty. Something is wrong with geometry from the pitman arm down. The entire track bar is going crazy as I wobble steering wheel back and forth cause the gear box is flexing the whole system since it's not turning. Output pressure I don't beljeve is an issue....its that its a rediculous geometry to spin and push and it just can't do it.

If you got the wrong pitman arm with your lift, that by it self can really screw up the steering. You need to get a hold of Rough Country, explain your situation and see what if anything they will do to fix the problem your having with there lift installed on your truck.

If the whole truck is shifting, instead of the wheels turning, check your track bar for wear.

I'm gunna call them rigt now. Track bar is brand new, but the whole track bar drop bracket flexes when I try to steer, so should I disconnect it and see how it steers without it? I won't drive I know I'll have death wobble if I disconnect it.

Just called them and 6612 is the right pitman arm, so I know that's right. Does the track bar actually play a role in steering or just in centering axel and nothing more? Or could that be the issue...axel not centered? Idk

track bar won't effect the steering , it's just to center the axle . However , you do have a track bar issue from what you say , it's just separate .

Any chance your pulley was changed on the pump ? Little bigger maybe ?
