Default Viper Rocker Arms on 5.2/5.9?

So i read a post on another site, that said that OEM 1992-2000 dodge viper rocker arms are 1.7 ratio and will bolt right on to our motors. Has anyone tried this? the guy that said this works says all you need is the rockers and new bolts so u dont break any old ones trying to retorque them. Also does anyone know a good website to goto for these, cheapest i found was $20 Each.

Thats all besides the point though, i am ultimately wanting to do a cam swap, anyone recommend a cam with a decent lope and good power gains?

No clue on the viper rockers..... are they full rollers?

A cam with a "lope" is NOT going to be a good cam for a truck. If you tow/haul at all, you want an RV cam, something designed to work from idle to 4500-5000 RPM.

Do you have a photo of a Viper rocker that you can share, along with a 5.9 rocker, so we can see what they look like together?

What most people use are the Harlan Sharp roller rockers, for the 5.2 or 5.9 engines.
You can buy a complete kit from summit for a little over $300.00 dollars.

If you're doing a cam stick with 1.6, let the cam do the lifting. And get the adjustable ones.

Stamped steel like Magnum rockers but 1.7 ratio, I'd pass for 160 bucks.

yea the viper rockers are stamped just like the rams, only thing is they are 1.7, but not rollers. so i mean for the money it prob better to just save a little more and get the harland's. as far as cam ideas i already thought of the RV cams but they dont lope like i want. i guess i would have to have a custom grind done.

I agree that the viper rockers didnt do nearly what I expected to feel on my butt dyno, I decided to bite the bullet and get the harland sharps and wow is all I can say. Best mod I've done in with the least amount of work needed besides SCT. How do you plan on doing tuning with the different cam?
