For a guy that has not even used the F1 yet you sure are set on it. All I did was point out that Clubcab5.9 was not wrong in his post. Know what an adapter does it mates two parts that might not be meant to work together but they slide by kinda make it work. I get a big kick out of how the M1 is knocked to the ground because it's a single plane intake. What is the kegger it has 1-2" runners and a huge open plenum area what is that classed as?? The M1 is the same height as the kegg intake so no diff there. The M1 has runners far better than the kegg anyday of the week.

IDT anyone that has not driven or tried the M1 should be offering any op on it as YOU DON'T KNOW JACK.

Merc,
Take a chill............................................. ......................................

I know all you did was point out what cubcadet was saying and I was just asking who said that it wasn't?

Why do we want to replace the keg intake with something else? And why am I so sold on the Air Gap? Because I did what anyone on here can do before buying either intake. I searched and researched and reread any article and thread I could find on both the M1 or Air Gap. I guess once I get my Jeep running if the Air Gap is a piece of junk I'll have to eat crow.

Runners in the kegger are a lot longer than an inch or two, they wrap all the way around the inside of the manifold. Longer runners are better for low-end grunt, which is what a truck motor wants.

Runners on the M1 are indeed significantly shorter... but, it certainly flows a hell of a lot better than the kegger..... if ALL you do is swap the manifold, then yes, you will lose some bottom end.... but, every mod you do after that, you will get more out of, BECAUSE the M1 flows better. (which will more than make up for anything you lose with just a manifold swap.....) Not to mention, the M1 doesn't run out of breath at 4500 RPM.......

One of the other key issues was/is availability. When I bought my Air Gap you couldn't find a 2 bbl M1 anywhere. So for me at the time it was a no brainer.

The inside of the kegger intake as you can see the runners are very short and suck up off the plenum plate how good is that.

If you look closely, the runner openings are on the opposite side of the intake of the port that they feed, they are somewhere in the neighborhood of 12 to 14" long.
