There is no way in hell parts are more expensive down there than they are up here. Lol. There is a reason so many Canadians order all their auto parts online... myself included. I will not buy local for this reason, it is simply to expensive. If you think parts are expensive down there you would have a heart attack if you tried to buy the same thing up here. Tires cost average 30-40% more up here than south of the border, not a word of a lie. Its not even just parts, Canadians pay more for everything up here. Gas costs us far more than you guys pay.

Not attacking but it is simply not true that Americans pay more than Canadians for parts.

Not to hijack the OP thread!

OP as said do not get 4-5" coil spring spacers! Get a proper kit. You can go up to 3" no problem before you get into track bars, pit man arm drops, control arms, etc. Get an add-a-leaf also if you are wanting more than an inch or two out back, and if you go the block route get a taller block instead of stacking them. If its 35's you want you will need a 5" lift as a rule of thumb to clear them.

If you want to run 35" tires, then you should get at least 5" of lift.

Factory rear blocks in the 1500 2nd gen Ram 4wd are 3" tall.

So for the front

5" lift coil-springs Skyjacker part number is D50
Shocks
Upper and lower control arms (White Knuckle has a set for sale)
Drop pitman arm
Trackbar or drop bracket for said lift height
Brake lines

Rear 3" add a leaf kit (long spring)
New shocks

Yes/No you can mess with the bracket on the frame to get the added slack you need. Most kits come with an extension for said bracket.

Yes lift coil-springs. You can't just put these in by themselves the other parts I listed must be used as well.

Here this is a Skyjacker 5" 1500/2500 V8 gas coil-spring on one side and a 8" BDS DSl coil-spring on the other side.

Merc is very correct OP. When you lift up, you're actually shifting the axle as well. Longer control arms re-center to it to where its supposed to be. Drop brackets are necessary for the track bar and pitman arm to keep steering kosher and keep the angles right on them. Shocks need to be longer to accommodate the lifted height, same with brake lines.
