Default Coil spacers

Hey I have a 99 ram 318 5speed an I'm wanting to lift it with coil spring spacers and I've seen on eBay that they have 4 and 5 inch spacers. Anyone use them and can you give any advice about them? And what size blocks to use in the rear? My truck has the factory blocks which are what, 1 inch probably? I know I'll need bigger in the rear, just curious also.

Don't get 5" coil spacers. If you want that much lift gets coils

You can go three inches, and that's IT, without major changes to the rest of the front suspension.

If you want that much lift, then lift it right. Get new front coils, address the front steering angles, and do add-a-leafs or new leaf springs in the rear. It's not cheap by any means, but if your truck is in good shape and you want to keep it for a while, then make sure you replace all the right things.

If you're just trying to build a mud rig and will never have it on the road, then screw it and just go as cheap as possible. You can check around on ebay and craigslist for people selling used lifts and what not.

you can get diesel 2500 coils and gain 2-3" for cheaper. and then do an add-a-leaf in the back. would be cheap and get you 2-3" all the way around. just depends on how high you wanna go. on the front anything over 3" you must start getting drop brackets and longer brake lines etc.

Look for a complete lift kit in the size you are looking for that uses replacement coil-springs. Check Rough Country for an economy kit.

As posted after three inchs more parts are needed, if you are going to buy replacement coil-spring's get the ones rated for your truck in the lift size you want, not dsl coils.

I ran diesel coils they were great netted about 11" of lift. But were ruffer than hell. But yes like everyone else said lift it right you need longer control arms trac bar brackets (IMO a tarc bar made for how much lift you want) and you need drop pitman arm.....Its not as easy as just putting in spacers and blocks.... Also for the back dont stack blocks. do a shackle flip its like $80 and you gain about 4" that way
