Default Ignition Sw Halo light

Can you tell me how this ignition switch halo light is supposed to work? Is it on with the key or the headlights on or with the ignition on. Mine has never worked, I have replaced the ign.switch, I still can't seem to make it work. If I knew how it was supposed to function maybe it would be easier to find a solution.
As always thanks for all your guidance,
Scotty

Sorry,I didn't explain myself properly. The circular light that surrounds the ignition lock cylinder where you insert the key. That is the light I'm trying to figure out how it is supposed to work.

I understood you just fine. Mine has never worked either. I'd like to know if it's supposed to work or if it's something Dodge designed and then never finished to save money.

Should be on a timer. Depends on what year your truck is as to what actually controls it.

There is a timer relay in the fuse block on the drivers side of the dash that should control it. Wonder if the bulb is just burnt out....... I suspect changing it would be interesting.

You can download the 95 service manual from this thread. Should show ya something in there.

this light setup comes with the new ignition switch that I have replaced. It has a new bulb included that was checked before install. What would be the location of the timer relay in the P.D.M. ?
