Ten year old thread, and the guy he quoted hasn't been here since then.......
I realize that but don't give others the idea of cutting up your firewall to get to them.

Those bolts have a hex for a Allen bit also. Bad pic but you can make them out. Either way it's a pain to turn anything back there.

That is for certain...... Not exactly the spot I would have chosen for a critical sensor.....

Took me an hour to do mine on my 95. One thing I did to make it easier was to remove the EGR and it saved me lots of time. The pipe is plumbed near the screws and I have the extentions and stuff I could have left it in and struggled more but it saved time to get it out of the way.
