Default 265/70/16 OK on front?

I have 255/70/16 on all 4 tires now, but need to replace my front passenger tire because it has a bubble in it. A used tire place close to my house has 2 almost new 265/70/16 tires that they will put on for $80 total. Bridgestone. My truck is a 2wd, 5.2L, rear wheel drive. Just wondering if it's ok to have a bigger size on front. I will be replacing the shocks myself this weekend as well.

Put the bigger ones in back, move the rears to the front. (not like there is a huge difference..... less than half an inch cross-section difference....) Probably really doesn't matter.

OK, 2 new (used) tires, new rotors, new brakes (Duralast Gold C-Max), and still a shudder when I'm hitting my brakes. I can feel it coming from the front end, but running out of options. Could it be the calipers? I bled the front brakes when i was finished installing the brakes, so air shouldn't be trapped.

Not unheard of to get a bad set of rotors out of the box.

Bad TRE's (tie rod ends) or other loose/worn front end parts can also cuase vibes and wobble when hitting the brakes.

I run 265 70 16 tires on 10 inch wide wheels all around on my 96 2 wheel drive with no problems.

And YOU SIR, are the winner! I finally got tired of dealing with the front end shaking when I hit my brakes, so i took my truck to Tires Plus to have it looked at and aligned. They just called. Both my front rotors and my back drums are warped. ALL FREAKIN' 4 OF THEM! I just replaced all 4 and they are warped! I bought them from Auto Zone, and all 4 have a warranty. Hopefully they will give me a refund so I can purchase them somewhere else. They also said that I need to replace my PCV valve (i just checked it a month or so ago and it rattled correctly), and my upper/lower ball joints are "noisy." It's true, when I turn the wheel, I hear something squeaking, and I wasn't sure what it was. They want $900 to replace them. I think i'll buy the parts and try doing that myself.

I did get them to do the alignment, and I'll return the rotors and drums, replace the PCV, etc. I never would have thought that all 4 could come out of the box warped. Is there a way for me to determine if they are warped when i'm at auto zone or O'Reilly's about to purchase them?
