Default Ram Models?

This may seem like a stupid question but I can not find the answer anywhere. I'm trying to buy some aftermarket stuff here, and some of the items I'm looking at purchasing does not fit the SPORT models. How am I suppose to know if mine is or is not the sport model, or what model it even is. Everything I've looked into for the vin numbers for each model the Vin is the same all the letter Z. There is no marking on the truck all stickers and emblems were pulled off when is was painted by the previous owner. Help would be greatly appreciated!

On the 97, it doesn't matter. Only differences were the color of the bumpers, and grill. (and some graphics.)

I think it's until 98 that its doesn't matter. 98 sports have the normal front bumper that's body colored, then in 99 they came out with the different front bumper and grill for sports. maybe I'm mixed up in years.

Yeah, it may have even been a mid-year 98 kind of thing.

If your front bumper is all plastic you have a sport. If it has chrome or painted steel then any non-sport item should fit fine.

Then that's a sport. Not that it matters. On the 94-97? (maybe 98) there weren't any real differences, any accessories that you purchase for the 'standard' truck will fit, even though they specifically state, (NON-Sport models.)
