Real possibility they used the same part across many engines. The spring in it should attempt to hold the throttle closed. Do you just need to stick it on there, and then rotate it so the bolt holes line up?

The one I got had the same paper in it saying it was for the a 4.7. When comparing the old one to the new one they were identical. I used the TPS anyway and it's been working like normal. I can only assume they used the same part for both applications.

I didn't have to rotate it to line up the bolt holes. JHam if yours was the same, I'll just run this one then and see what happens.

Well the new tps didn't work for me. Truck died about 20 ft after I drove it. The truck would almost die after I got it moving and got off the throttle. CEL came up for the tps as well. So I just slapped in the old tps so I could leave. I didn't check any voltage for the new tps. Anybody else help out? Maybe a faulty new tps

Did you reset the PCM when you installed the new TPS? IT needs you to do that, so it can figger out what the value is now at closed throttle.

Like HeyYou said you should have to rotate it slightly against the spring to get the holes to line up.
