Default Torque converter issues

I think my TQ is going..maybe..so I have this issue of going down the interstate on cruise control and I hit a bump and my TQ locks and unlocks for a second. I haven't gotten underneath my truck to check out sensors and wiring but this morning my transmission did the same thing as stated before but with the throttle only and would waiver or jump up 200-300 rmp's when I would give a little more throttle to move, I was going about 70 mph while all this happened. I'm just thinking a wiring issue, TQ is going, or for some dumb reason the bell housing bolts aren't tight...

Agreed that is first one to check. Dont toss old until know for sure. I like to keep for spares just in case.

Other possible sensor is speed sensor in the tranny. Check that if above not work out.

Remember to DC negative battery prior to install.

Mine was doing the exact same thing about 4 months ago. Replaced the TPS and everything works great since.

Sweet, from what I've read it is the tps. I'll replace it this weekend.

So I bought a tps at Napa but when I got back to the college I realized it was for a 4.7 grand cherokee. Nothing looks different between the two but the new one attaches upside down or backwards of the other one. There shouldn't be an issue replacing my old one with the new one right?

Not if you get the *right* new one.

Haha alright I'll get the right one.... I looked on Google and it's the right part number for a Chrysler tps but there's a piece of paper in the box for a 4.7 grand cherokee, I'm confused.
