The stock lifters are about as good as they get anyway

What does your oil pressure look like?
Oil pressure is between 30 to 50 PSI. When she starts up cold it sits at 50 PSI. Then when it warms up it sits at 30 PSI. When I drive is rides around 40 PSI. depending on the speed I'm at.
Let me know if that is normal for this engine. I had a Tundra that use to go from 20 to 60 PSI depending on idle and speed and it was fine.

Oil Pressure sounds normal. Pull of the air box, crack the throttle wide open, and look down into the intake. (engine NOT running) I bet you see oil.......

Ping sounds like marbles in a can being shaken. Lifters sticking sound like air pressure popping (at least when mine did). Put some Seafoam in the crankcase for a week before your next oil change, then put in MaxLife 10w40. Cured my lifter and that was 4 years ago. I agree the lifters should not be replaced unless you're doing a new engine anyway.
